Share your talents with us!

We would like to showcase the artistic talents of residents in the Southern Maryland Tri-County community whose lives are affected by mental illness. Please share your drawings, paintings, poetry, or short stories so that others may experience your journey with mental illness through your artistic abilities.   

You may submit your talent via email as an attachment to namisouthernmd@gmail.com or mail to NAMI Southern Maryland, 8440 Old Leonardtown Road, Suite 210, Hughesville, MD 20637.

Please make sure that you send copies (NOT originals) of your work because we will retain what we receive.  No recording or videos will be accepted.  All submissions will be viewed and approved by the NAMI Southern Maryland team prior to being displayed on our website.  No compensation will be given and no fees will be charged.

    Vera Brooks is a balloon artist who specializes in centerpieces, twists and weaves. Fascinated by such creations over twenty years ago, she took it up as a hobby.
