NAMI Southern Maryland is a regional affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Our office is based in Lexington Park, Maryland. The affiliate provides programs and services in St. Mary's, Charles, and Calvert Counties and is one of over 1,000 NAMI affiliates nationwide. NAMI Southern Maryland's mission is one of education, support, and advocacy. It achieves its mission by: Supporting persons with mental illness and their families. NAMI Southern Maryland provides education, support and advocacy for persons with mental illness and their families. Our unique family programs empower parents, siblings, spouses and children to utilize the coping skills they need to stay healthy while assisting their ill relatives in the journey towards recovery.
